I am convinced in the existence of fate because of the natural laws of cause and effect. Every cause has an effect, indicating a pre-determined outcome for any and all actions. All things and actions no matter how big or small are carefully designed and created with a specific intent and purpose to fulfill, whether conscious of it or not. All is connected like pieces in an endless puzzle.
However, while fate may indeed exist, it is not a finite and concrete model.
There is “wiggle” room…
Rune magic and most divination methods exist for this reason; to gain further insight into circumstances in their past, present and future context. The web of fate is constantly spun, but like a physical web (which looks seemingly perfect) there are minor variables throughout it based on circumstances and the spider’s reaction (ᛈ) to them, resulting in the intended and coherent final product.
In extremely primitive terms, humans have the capability to “foresee” many future events at all times and are able to make present decisions and actions in order to affect those future events. This is evident in our knowledge of the yearly natural cycles of the Earth. Our ability to foresee seasonal, terrestrial, and cosmic events helps us sow, cultivate and harvest what we need to ensure we survive as long as possible. Being able to foresee Winter gives us time to change our circumstances and better our future position.
This is primitive, but evidence of divination nonetheless…
With practice and patience, you can begin to adjust certain strands and strings of the web, gaining deeper insight into their workings and patterns. Personal rune reading (followed by honest decoding) will do this, as well as Tarot and other divination practices.
Instinct is also a good piece of evidence for some kind of fate or design as well.
Instinct indicates that DNA holds literal knowledge of its physical expression and its’ living experience. In other words, Nature imprints experience on its’ creations for them to remember the rules and laws of existence, the laws of fate. The fact that an incubated chicken knows to scratch and eat certain things without seeing it before, or in the way a butterfly’s wings can display pictures of predatory animals like owls, snakes and foxes, indicates a creative awareness and conscious design within nature, almost like a computer program with all functions working to create a working system. Biological evolution is further evidence of this “Nature Mind” as it is always consciously creating, altering, and watching itself…
Perhaps to fulfill its own fate…
People generally choose God(s) (in various forms and names) to devote themselves to based on the qualities and traits they are said to possess.
The traits are usually representative of a larger archetype that the devotee wants to portray and has the qualities that they want to possess.
Once the person discovers these qualities that suit him/her best, it will determine who they identity with in a divine, mythological or spiritual way.
It should be practical and work with their lifestyle, ultimately inspiring them to want to excel in the areas they want to in life.
Once they find those qualities, principals and truths that fit their chemistry, then they should devote themselves , or rather “sacrifice” themselves to themselves.
This is the Odian path…
Depression is a hell of a drug.
Sometimes it hits you like a freight train and other times it faintly lingers around like the smell of a cigarette.
In these moments when we feel ourselves slipping off of the righteous path and into apathetic dreariness, we must acknowledge the negative patterns within our thinking and refuse to give energy to the turbulence created by them. Instead of trying to think your way out of these situations (which always inevitably allows the situation to develop into more stagnant, philosophical loathing), try and act yourself willingly and directly into a more positive mindset.
Invoke and meditate on the mighty Thurisaz (ᚦ) to banish all weak and self deprecating thoughts from your mind, then let this fiery power grow within you and forcefully push the mental fetters away. You can even attempt to crush them then and there.
When you feel the power of this internal Hammer/Thunder build up inside of you then you can directly propel yourself into motion and attack your days goals without any fetters weighing on your soul. By simply acting and not thinking, you will be able to to drag the mind out of the mud and get the wheels rolling again. This can be symbolized by the ancient chariot, with the horse representing the power of the Will and the rider representing the mind; which can only be as “thunderous” and powerful as the horse which drives it.
This indicates a separate function and metaphysical difference of mind and Will, but this is for another time…
In summary, don’t sit there and think. Just act. Retrospectively use moments of depression creatively and actively. Learn to enjoy the opportunity and challenge they present and transmute (ᚺ) these times into moments of personal growth. As you overcome depressive patterns (one step at a time) you will begin to heal and mend the negative habits that have formed over many years. As this personal awareness and positive action develops within, you will find yourself falling less and less into the snares of internal self damnation and eventually free yourself of this detrimental force on the Will.
Good luck to everyone on their path of power, and may your Will be known upon the Earth…

The saying “have faith in the process” can only apply to those who consistently and aggressively strive for dignity, sovereignty and greatness.
Otherwise, this concept becomes a catalyst for laziness, stagnation and an excuse to not break away from that which blinds us…
Use everyday as an opportunity to invoke strength and pride and you will undoubtedly radiate these actions into others around you.
This is a process worth having faith in.
New projects in action and more articles coming soon.
Hailaz to all!
According to Celtic legends, if February 1st brings bad weather, then the Winter Goddess Cailleach is sleeping and Spring will arrive early. However, if the weather is mild, then the Winter Goddess is out looking for firewood, ensuring a longer duration of Winter. So, dress warm, grab your snow shovels, and let us all revel in harsh weather today! Good Imbolc to all!
All things, whether sentient or (seemingly) insentient, possess an essence or a “spirit” within and around them. If you hold a stone tightly and close your eyes, you will sense a connection between your heartbeat and the “rhythm” of the spirit within the stone. In Rune work, this would apply to the Raido (ᚱ) rune. If you approach an ancient oak (or any other old tree) in the forest, you will feel undeniable connections and energies emulating from within it and its’ spirit can be accessed, communicated and interacted with. Once you recognize the spirit within everything, you will see how life starts to slowly connect and form one large, organic cosmos of interconnected spirit and matter.
Bodies of water, groves, and mountains are held in especially sacred light within our minds and they have undoubtedly immense power and essence within them. Each stream, river, lake and piece of land has its’ own personality and habits. We build connections and relationships with these environments and habits just as we do with the people we surround ourselves with, and the ancient man developed beautiful and passionate relationships with the landscape, its’ habits and the spirits of those landscapes. These days. people can easily relocate and move; more than likely their blood hasn’t yet built a connection to the soil because they haven’t experienced it for very long. I think this would apply to most people in America save the Native Americans.
It takes hundreds, if not thousands of years for organic relationships to be established between the soil and the blood of the people inhabiting it. The ancient man was locked into the cycle of his environment, as if his own body and mind were attached to its events and happenings. The patterns that were experienced outside of man were mimicked internally and recognized as one cycle. Time existed as an eternal and endless circle, not as a linear phenomenon with beginning and end. This recognition of patterns (and cycles) established the foundation for “religion” or Paganism/Animism.
This bindrune is used to invoke Loki and associated powers. Carve this into wood, stone or bone, and place it anywhere on your altar with an offering bowl in front of it. Offerings to Loki commonly consist of coins, stones, and knotted ropes. The bindrune consists of the name ᛚ ᛟ ᚲ ᛁ and can be used as a conduit for quick connections to Lokian forces. Most Pagans are shy to working with Loki, but I have found it very useful at certain times, as Loki can be an archetype for indomitable freedom and individuality.

This radial incantation is a spell to invoke the Solar Eye of Odin. It consists of a central Sun with four protruding (ᚦ) runes at each cardinal point, symbolizing defensive forces and cultivation of the sorcerers willpower. Additional defensive (ᛉ) runes have been added with four rotating (ᚨ) runes symbolizing the eternal cycle of the ancestral spirit. This is my personal rendition of the eye that Odin retains, representing our “solar” awareness.
According to the myths, we can equate Odin’s eyes to the Sun and Moon. The Sun of course being the eye he keeps, and the Moon being the eye he sacrifices to the Well of Mimir. This Well symbolizes darkness, mystery, and occult knowledge; a place that all Odinists must sacrifice half of themselves to in order to achieve the Wotanic state.
Etch this symbol into wood, stone, or bone to enhance Odinic visions and forces during meditation and ritual. This bindrune can also be worn as an amulet or drawn in blood or ash on the forehead; serving as a third eye to gaze into the divine. The swirling wheel of ancestral time exists here and all that has come to pass can be accessed through the cosmic Solar Eye. This bindrune can be used to enhance control of the Will and serve as a conduit for vision quests.
